Round Robin Pro documentation

Overview

Round Robin Pro helps Attio teams assign records and list entries to workspace members using reusable round-robin and weighted templates. Instead of manually choosing an owner for each new lead, account, user, task, or list entry, admins define the assignment rules once and reuse them inside Attio workflows.

Each workflow run selects the next eligible teammate, writes that person to the configured Attio User field, and exposes the selected assignee to downstream workflow steps such as Slack notifications, follow-up tasks, branches, and additional field updates.

Where to use it

Use Round Robin Pro anywhere your team needs consistent ownership rules in Attio:

  • Assign new companies, people, deals, users, or custom object records.
  • Assign list entries used for queues, onboarding, support, or operations.
  • Route leads or accounts across sales reps in a fair sequence.
  • Give some teammates a larger share with weighted distribution.
  • Skip teammates who are inactive or outside their configured working hours.

Setup

  1. Install Round Robin Pro in your Attio workspace.
  2. Open Workspace Settings, then Apps, then Round Robin Pro.
  3. Start the free trial or confirm the workspace subscription.
  4. Create a template and select the workspace members who can receive assignments.
  5. Choose a distribution model: round robin or weighted.
  6. Optionally configure member availability by timezone, working days, and working hours.
  7. Add the Assign round robin user block to an Attio workflow.
  8. Select the template, target record or list entry, and User field to update.
  9. Publish the workflow.

Templates and distribution

Templates are reusable assignment rules managed from the Round Robin Pro settings page in Attio. A template contains the eligible workspace members and the distribution model used by workflows.

  • Round robin assigns each eligible member in order, then wraps back to the first member.
  • Weighted distribution lets members receive different portions of the assignment volume.
  • Availability settings are optional. Members without availability settings are treated as available.
  • If availability is configured, the app checks active status, timezone, working days, and working hours before assigning.

Workflow usage

Round Robin Pro adds an Attio workflow block called Assign round robin user. Place it after a trigger that produces the record or list entry you want to assign.

  • For object records, select the record from the trigger and choose a writable single-select User field on that object.
  • For list entries, select the list, the entry or record variable from the trigger, and a writable single-select User field on the list.
  • The field to update must be an Attio User field that points to workspace members.

When an assignee is selected, the block follows the Assignee selected outcome and exposes the selected member ID, display name, Attio actor, target type, record or entry ID, and updated field. If nobody is eligible, the workflow follows the No assignee available outcome.

Permissions and audit logs

Only Attio workspace admins can open Round Robin Pro settings, manage templates, edit availability, view subscription details, or review audit logs.

The app records recent settings changes so admins can see who created, updated, or deleted templates and availability rules. Audit logs store workspace and member IDs, then resolve display names from Attio when the settings page is opened.

Subscription

Round Robin Pro includes a 14-day free trial. Paid plans are based on template count and the number of users allowed per template. The Enterprise plan supports unlimited users.
