Duplicates documentation
Overview
Duplicates helps Attio teams detect duplicate records and list entries using reusable templates. Templates define the target, matching fields, normalization rules, and what should happen when duplicate or unique records are found.
The app is built around safe cleanup. It can label records, create review groups, and consolidate configured fields into a selected master record. It does not perform destructive deletes or native Attio merges automatically.
Setup
- Install Duplicates in your Attio workspace.
- Open Workspace Settings, then Apps, then Duplicates.
- Create a duplicate template for an object or list.
- Select the attributes used to match duplicate records.
- Choose case, whitespace, and empty-value handling.
- Run the initial scan to build the duplicate index.
- Use the review center or add the workflow block to automations.
Workflow usage
The workflow block checks a trigger record against a ready template and branches into Duplicate found, Unique, or No match outcomes. Ready templates are templates that have completed an initial scan.
Review and consolidation
Review groups let admins inspect duplicate candidates, ignore false positives, resolve finished groups, or consolidate selected writable fields into a master record. People and Companies can still be merged manually inside Attio when native merge behavior is needed.
Privacy
The backend stores workspace IDs, template metadata, record IDs, attribute slugs, audit metadata, and salted match-key hashes. It does not store raw names, emails, phone numbers, domains, or other matched field values.
Subscription
Duplicates includes a 14-day free trial. Paid plans are based on template count, indexed records, and review groups.
